Empower Physiotherapy, PLLC is a queer femme owned small business in Seattle, Washington. Our practice caters to strength athletes and those in the LGBTQ+ population. We have a special interest in treating patients who are trans and gender non-conforming, including those who are pregnant or preparing for/recovering from gender affirmation surgery. Empower Physiotherapy is owned by Dr. Brianna Durand, PT, DPT. Dr. Durand specializes in treating orthopedic and pelvic floor conditions. As a competitive powerlifter herself, she is passionate about destigmatizing and spreading awareness about incontinence on the platform. When they aren’t treating, Dr. Durand regularly guest lectures at local colleges and has created resources at the national level to improve the care provided to queer patients.
