Back in 1982 we bought our first video recorder. At the time, their were two competing formats, VHS and Betamax. Reviews at the time said that Betamax was the better quality so that's what we got. With the benefit of 20/20 hindsight, it was the wrong choice but the outcome is that I have a drawer full of old Betamax tapes from the 1980s that have never been overtaped. As a Norwich City fan, I used to record matches when they were on TV. Often they would be shown before I got home from the match so I could watch the recording when I got home. Often, the programs contained the ad breaks, so rather than discard them, I've uploaded those that weren't edited out at the time.
