In 1973, Mama Ngatchu Rose returned from the United States with a mission from the Lord and touched by St. Anthony’s story, she who had nearly everything decided to dedicate her life to carry that mission. It took 23 years of persistent prayer and hard work for Mama’s mission to see the physical light of day. The Diligent Home Orphanage (DHO) was created in 1997. The coming of the orphanage paved the way for the founding of the schools. The drive to give the orphans and vulnerable children a safe educational environment led to the start of the Diligent Bilingual Schools in 1998. It is this initiative that has birthed the “Diligent” schools which is now a reference for education, not only for orphans but for the wider community. With the increasing number of local and global problems, we are committed to raising exemplary servant leaders through formal education and the inclusion of leadership and problem-solving programs in our schools.
