The driving force behind Sean Wigand becoming a mortgage professional was thanks to a horrific lending experience he faced when trying to buy his first home. The story; five days before Sean, his wife and three children were set to close escrow and move into their new home in Arizona. He was promised everything looked good and the loan shouldn’t be a problem. After chasing down the loan officer day, after day he was told, ”Unfortunately, we can’t get you the 3.9% we expected, but we can get you an 8.4% rate with a 1% origination and a 12 month pre-payment penalty.” As you can image, he was shocked, and his family was beyond let down. This setback turned out to be a blessing in disguise and led to a purpose filled career in the mortgage industry. After an emotional and costly failed home loan experience, Sean vowed to do everything he can to educate as many people as possible to help create the right mortgage strategy for their short and long term investment goals.
