Rebel Films has been telling stories from the heart of Australia for over 30 years – from the outback to the edges of suburbia, from First Nations voices to offbeat characters, shaped by the filmmaking partnership of David Batty and Jeni McMahon. Our archive holds everything from award-winning documentaries to quirky shorts and rare footage you won’t see anywhere else. It’s eclectic, character-driven, and it carries that distinctly Australian mix of humour, heart and ingenuity. For more than four decades, David’s bush skills, humour and resourcefulness have shaped the spirit of our work, while Jeni’s producing has helped turn outback yarns into nationally recognised stories.
