Hello Friends! This is my personal channel. It includes many long and short videos, and several of my lectures and books about Sir Ernest Satow, translations from Japanese to English as well as personal stuff about where I live with my wife in Japan, rugby, family history etc. (Please like, comment, subscribe and share!) It has been my academic 'mission' since 1994 when I was first employed as a lecturer/assistant professor at Kyushu Institute of Technology (Kyutech) to raise the profile, name and reputation of the British diplomat Sir Ernest Satow (1843-1929) beyond the confines of Japan (where it is already secure) throughout the world, and particularly in his home country and mine, the United Kingdom. I retired in 2020 from Kyutech as a professor emeritus. For two more years I taught English Zoom classes there.
