Welcome to the Auto Ranch. I have personally owned nearly 300 vehicles, largely sports cars, including every generation and almost all makes. This gives me a good base to make real owner comparisons to. 
The difference between my opinions and the professional journalist is that they use a lot less umms and ahhs when they are talking to themselves on camera after years of practice :), editing, and using generic responses, but they also spend a relatively very short period of time driving a car and often at a manufacture’s expense at a nice hotel and track or preselected road. I own all my cars I provide opinions on. I live with the good and bad of the cars just like the rest of you and have no loyalty toward any one car or manufacture. I buy cars on their merits.
