The pub should be the centre or hub of community life and can also provide essential services beyond the usual drinks, food or entertainment. We are an organisation of specialist voluntary advisors for rural pubs and licensees who are thinking of broadening their range of services. Inspired by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales in 2001, Pub is The Hub operates as a ‘not-for-profit’ organisation dedicated to offering advice and support to licensees, rural pubs and community services as well as to communities considering the options for acquiring their local pub and the range of responsibilities involved. We facilitate projects by encouraging and helping licensees, communities and local authorities to connect and share their experiences. We encourage good licensees, communities, pub owners, breweries, local authorities and the private sector to work together to match community priority needs with additional services which can be provided by the local pub and a good licensee.
