I'm Josh, an actuary, investment professional, and systems thinker. I left university at 23 with one goal: get a great job. I got it. Qualified as an actuary. Built a career working across $180bn in investments. And then realised I had no idea what to do next. Not because anything was wrong. But because I'd hit every target I'd ever set — and I had so much more energy, ambition, and capability with nowhere to direct it. The frustration wasn't failure. It was untapped potential. What I eventually figured out is that the problem was never effort. It was direction. It was design. Once I started applying the same systems-based, probabilistic thinking I use at work - to my health, my finances, my habits, my ambitions - everything started compounding.
