The Sloan Fellows Programme was created at the MIT Sloan School of Management in 1930, by Alfred P. Sloan, Chairman of General Motors from 1937 to 1956, who envisioned the Sloan Fellowship as a means of developing the "ideal manager". The vision for Sloan Summit started in 2014 from the experience of one Sloan asking another for help and realising that the bond we share is powerful. The Sloan Summit is a gathering of Sloan Alumni to hear and discuss the latest in the world of business and management. The Summit aims to help alumni build professional connections by getting together for a day of intellectual stimulation, and by actively participating in break-out sessions. It gives an opportunity for the Sloan community to get together, renew old bonds and create new ones while listening to the newest trends in the world of business and management from some of their own and the leading faculty supporting the Summit theme.
