Hello my name is Keshia aka Desert Mermaid. I live with moderate to severe chronic pain. At 23 I had an accident that drastically changed my life and left me with chronic pain. I lost everything and found myself in a deep dark hole. I felt alone, useless, and ashamed at what my life had become. Since then I have climbed out of that dark hole. I have started over and been on a journey to figure out how to live life to the fullest while having chronic pain. I have created Desert Mermaid to give hope to others going through a painful time (wither it be physical, mental, or emotional). My goal is to help those suffering know they are not alone in their pain. And even though everything looks dark and scary, the light will come again.
