The Laboratory for Cognition & Control in Complex Systems at the University of Florida. Started in 2012 by Professor Sean Meyn together with colleagues and students at UF. Current research activities are wide-ranging: Foundational research on control, inference and learning. In particular, much recent research focus has been on reinforcement learning, some of which is collected together in Meyn's book Control Systems and Reinforcement Learning, Cambridge University Press, 2022. Applications oriented research has focused on power systems: how to control the power grid with substantial volatility from renewable energy resources?
