Fulltime Homesteaders retired young from the Military journaling our Real family Homestead life. Welcome to my channel I am Mallorie and I live in cold zone 3 Québec. We have to deal with the challenges of a very short growing season and the deep deep snow in winter. We are trying to revive this 1800's 200 acre homestead from the neglect it has had over the years. The house and the buildings are, well.. Lets put it this way.. ITS A DUMP!! My Husband Ben has chronic back pain and PTSD due to a serious accident in Afghanistan with the Canadian Forces in 2007. So we have alot of machinery to help out with the heavy lifting here on the farm. A Skidder to harvest the wood from our beautiful mixed wood forest, our farm tractors, Kubota Excavator, and our saw mill to make all our building materials.. We are big on reusing and recycling too so sometimes our buildings are unconventional but it works for us.
