Brexit is also often used as a reason to make unnecessary transfers. The victims' interests are always disregarded - scammers never care what will happen to the people whose lives they ruin. Scammers don't even worry about victims dying from stress-related diseases or committing suicide. As long as they get their fat commissions, the scammers aren't bothered. Liberation used to be the main scam - but this has long since been eclipsed by illiquid, speculative, unregulated investments which pay maximum commissions. The only way to stop these crimes, is to educate the public and get the word out there that they can be avoided.
