Northwood School's YouTube channel provides information and a visual perspective of the Northwood experience. We are a coeducational, independent boarding school in Lake Placid, NY, offering a trimester-based college preparatory curriculum for students grades 9 through 12, plus a post-graduate year. Northwood offers a broad and challenging college-preparatory curriculum that includes a variety of Honors and AP courses. Building on the Northwood academic experience, students explore areas of interest with academic programs designed to strengthen intellectual abilities, promote character development, and advance interests in specific subject areas. Beyond the classroom, Northwood School offers students competitive athletic programs and co-curricular programs in the arts, music, outdoor recreation, community service, and robotics.
