Welcome to Olive Oil and Gasoline! I want to help you cook and travel with courage. Both these endeavors usually look a lot harder than they actually are and I want to demystify them as much as I can so that we can all learn and grow together. Travel better, eat better and cook better. My name is Brennan Dates. I'm a classically trained chef of over 20 years experience that travels the world by my trusty BMW R1150GS Adventure motorcycle named Pearl. When I'm not riding from continent to continent, I'm cooking for the rich and famous on very large super yachts all over the world. I've been to almost 100 different countries with a lot more of them to research, travel and meet new friends to hear their story of their unique cultures and how it relates to our food world.
