Targeting the right notes in the chords you playing over to make melodies. As the chord changes, you change the notes that you play. Ex: in C Major chords: target C - E - G to start or end your solo phrases. 5. Learn Modes: Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian and Locrian. 6.
