Hi, I’m Val — welcome to Read With Val! I started this BookTube channel in spring 2020, right at the beginning of the COVID‑19 pandemic, with one huge summer goal: read 100 books and make short video reviews for every single one. And I actually did it! Since then, I’ve kept going — sharing my thoughts on incredible books, diving into diverse stories, and highlighting underrepresented voices. One of my favorite parts of running this channel is encouraging kids to pick up a book and discover how much fun reading can be. Over the years, Read With Val has been featured in The New York Times, YAYOMG! Girls Who Shine, and Owlcrate Junior magazine — which still feels unbelievable! I’ve also had the chance to interview some of my favorite authors and mentors, which has been such an honor. This channel is about connecting with other book lovers and discovering stories that inspire, entertain, and stay with us long after the last page. So, grab a book and come read with me!
