For over 34 years, Val and Amy Castor have been StormTrackers for KWTV NEWS 9 in Oklahoma City, OK and are dedicated to serving Oklahomans with up-to-the-minute information about severe weather threatening the state. Val started chasing in the late 1980's and after getting his meteorology degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1991, he landed a job at KWTV as Chief Meteorologist Gary England's first storm chaser ever hired by a television station. Amy became Val's storm chasing partner in 1998 and they were married a year later, just one month after chasing the deadly F5 tornado that ripped through Moore, Oklahoma on May 3, 1999. Together they provide coverage on tornadoes, wildfires, hurricanes, flooding, ice storms, and blizzards.
