A grammy nominated singer song-writer. Classically trained in Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi and Odissi. Raja Kumari is the youngest recipient of the Kohinoor Award for Excellence in Classical Art. Through her philanthropy projects, Kumari's performances have contributed to the construction of a hospital in Bangalore, and a meditation hall for the Vegesna Foundation in Hyderabad. Kumari is also sits on the board of the Indic Foundation at the Claremont School of Theology and holds a BA Degree in Religious Studies with an emphasis on South Asian Religion & Culture. Worked with AR Rahman, Arijit Singh, Salim & Sulaiman, Kailash Kher and many notable American acts like Gwen Stefani, Fifth Harmony, Fall Out Boy and Timbaland. Her music is a sonic bridge between East and West that fuses the rhythms she absorbed as a trained classical Indian dancer with her love for music.
