Many retainers have come and gone through time and this path will continue as new trends come and go. The once powerhouses that seemed unstoppable have declined and many have disappeared. Trends always change and through retailing, the way consumers shop will also change. There has been change in shopping trends with consumers once having to go down town and to main street, to the appearance of big box retailers, then the beginning and decline of malls, and now with the online presence and convenience of online shopping.
