NERC coordinate some of the world's most exciting research, tackling major issues such as climate change, environmental influences on human health, the genetic make-up of life on Earth, and much more. Our YouTube channel hopes to introduce you to some of the science we fund, from monitoring earthquakes to researching the poles and tracking the spread of invasive species across Britain. NERC are the UK public body that supports the natural and environmental sciences. We support six major environmental research centres:The British Antarctic Survey, the British Geological Survey, the National Oceanography Centre, the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, the National Centre for Atmospheric Research and the National Centre for Earth Observation.
