BONN PERSPECTIVES is designed to reinvigorate the international debate on sustainability with fresh ideas, using innovative learning, dialogue and networking platforms, with Bonn as home base. Our objective is to help to advance the green economy transformation, as called for by the global sustainability summit in Brazil (Rio+20) in June 2012. In fostering this transformation, we will take up those issues on which Bonn as a hub of policy dialogue has already established a strong international reputation: climate protection, adaptation to climate change, renewable energies, water, biodiversity, stopping desertification, food security, disaster preparedness, civil conflict resolution and poverty reduction. BONN PERSPECTIVES is constantly on the lookout for forward thinkers and for impending issues that are already sensitive but have not yet been sufficiently addressed.
