California WIC Association (CWA) is a non-profit organization formed in 1992 by directors of WIC local agencies administering the federal USDA program, Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). Leading California communities to nourish, educate, support, and empower families in building a healthy future. We do so by promoting WIC and related services, including breastfeeding support, nutrition education, health care, family and employee wellness, and public health workforce development. CWA seeks inclusion and partnership beyond the traditional WIC network, including businesses and corporations, vendors, allied public health and nutrition networks, and the general public.
