European Garnacha/Grenache is a promotional campaign co-financed by the EU to educate the wine industry and general public about this wine varietal and the characteristics of European quality schemed products. Garnacha is one of the oldest and most widely planted wine grapes. Born in Europe, perfectly adapted to the Continental-Mediterranean climate and terroir, its main production locates in eastern Spain (original birthplace) and southern France where it´s known as Grenache.
