Welcome to our page, The Westfield Show, created by our Broadcast Journalism students at Westfield High School in Chantilly, Virginia. Broadcast Journalism 1-4 is an elective class open to all students grades 9-12. In addition to creating the daily news broadcasts the students learn about topics including their role on the production team, the camera, lighting, audio, post production in Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects, telling stories, fair use/copyright, media messages/media bias, and the history of videography. Students may take the course for more than one year. Veteran students are responsible for leading the production team and creating more sophisticated content such as motion graphic introductions and lower thirds while our rookie students learn the basics of operating and maintaining our studio and control room equipment.
