Consonants, vowels, letters [in our case 30 of them], history, a parents idea of what we should be called upon seeing our pink face at birth. But a lot changes since birth. We grow, we change, we morph, and then sometimes our name no longer suits us. Will van der Vlugt Film Productions has grown considerably since its inception. What started as a one-man-band is now home to nine international directors. What was once a home base in Amsterdam continues to grow globally. This metamorphosis led us to a name change. A name that more aptly represents what we have become. We chose Caramel. It sticks. It's whimsical, sweet, short, and nostalgic. It's the skin color of an international people. We, formerly Will van der Vlugt Film Productions, are proud to introduce you to our new name Caramel Pictures. And if you listen closely, you can hear our receptionists everywhere breathe a collective sigh of relief.
