I was born and raised in Oakland California to Texans and currently live in New England. My grandparents would snowbird to the Big Island when it got to too cold in California, and they taught me about the Aloha Spirit. I spread it to honor them, and their adopted Winter Home. My original username on Twitch was Crawforgarten, which is kind of German for "House of Crawford's", the suffix garten meaning "garden", and show up in words like Kindergarten, Biergarten, etc... I would pop in chat, say Aloha, and the streamer who couldn't say Crawforgarten would respond "Aloha Craw". And I realized that's a way better username that Crawforgarten ever was.
