ProNet Reno is a nonprofit, federally funded organization to help unemployed professionals gain the skills they need to re-enter the job market, and to encourage Northern Nevada employers to fill their open positions with these professionals. There are no fees for employers or workers to use this service. ProNet members run the organization by teaching classes, producing their own marketing materials, maintaining the IT systems, volunteering in the community, and handling administrative duties. All members are required to spend time contacting local businesses to inform them of ProNet's mission and free cost, as well as to see if they have any job openings for professionals. Most of the videos you see here are excerpts from inspirational, informational, or motivational talks given at ProNet's weekly meeting by local business personalities, many of them once "ProNetters" themselves.
