As a singing student, you might think the goal is to sing pretty. But what if I told you that the key to finding your voice is to start making 'ugly' sounds? Starting to sing ugly will lead to your vocal breakthrough, your true voice. It's a mind switch to allow 'wrong' sounds to come out. The fear of sounding bad. I will teach you to get over the fear AND it will lead to the best vocal technique and, ironically, to the most beautiful sounds. See, there is something off about the traditional way of vocal coaching. It's the false assumption that only solid vocal technique will lead to enjoying your singing. And so, the singing teacher jumps straight at technical issues. I flip this on its head: I begin with removing mental blockages, so singing becomes fun. In parallel, I work on vocal technique.
