Hello and Namaste! I’m Birahi Karki, a singer, songwriter, and composer officially recognized by Radio Nepal in 2053 B.S. (1997). Since 2058 B.S. (2001), I’ve been sharing my music with you—creating over 500 songs, writing and composing more than 300 of them, and publishing 30 albums under my name. Some of my most beloved and popular songs include: Sunkhanima Sun, Aama (Parts 1–5), Bindabasini, Shanka Namana, Guras Phulne Thaunitir, Hola Mayalu, Mayako Naam Japiyo, Bhatkiyeko Ghar, Narou Timilai, Mayako Dhoka Kholideu, and Eklai Vayo Pipalu. Among all, ‘Aama’ remains the most special song of my life—it will always be cherished and shared. In addition to music, I’ve founded the Phool Maya Karki Foundation (discontinued) for social service and community support. In 2070 B.S. (2014), I proudly held my solo concert: ‘Birahi Karki Musical Night’. Now based in the United States, I continue to create and perform, honored to have received more than 20 national awards throughout my career.
