Artman English offers London's most creative language course, bringing theatre to the learning experience. You will devise, improvise, perform...all in English! Artman English is the work of Oliver Campbell-Smith and Paloma León Calopa. Oliver has worked in theatre for over twenty years, performing and directing from the Orkney Isles to the Gaza Strip. Paloma trained and worked as a DOP and camera operator in Spain but, with a passion for theatre and acting, on coming to the UK she found Artman and became both performer and co-producer. We believe that all people can enjoy performing and that keeping the work low-budget, raw and celebratory fends away the pernicious bent towards perfectionism that prevents so many from creating in the first place. To date, Artman English has created and staged seventeen performances, including shows in Budapest, Barcelona, Madrid and London. This is definitely English learning with extras!
