My modern gaming experience has been informed by Alan Wake (2010), The Last Remnant (2009), Resident Evil 4 (2005), Warcraft III (2003) and Total Annihilation (1997). I’ve also put an inordinate amount of time into the demos of Tony Hawk’s 2 (2000) and StarCraft 2 (2010), and unlocking everything in Mario Kart 7 (2011) and 8 (2014). My formative years were filled with the excellent Streetfighter II (1993), Red Alert (1995) and F-Zero X (1998). For some reason the DualShock controller has always unnerved me. D-Pads matter and asymmetric dual stick design feels intuitive.
