Join me in my passion! Björn Rüther is a trainer at Hammaborg – Historischer Schwertkampf e.V. and leads the Meyer Class training group in Hamburg, Germany. He is an internationally booked workshop leader, successful tournament fighter, and works on motion capture projects for the video game industry. From 2020 to 2023, he was an active member of the German national longsword team, becoming vice champion in 2022 and champion in 2023 in Open Longsword. Since 2022, Björn has served as president of the German umbrella organization for historical fencing (DDHF), working to promote historical martial arts and establish it as a serious sport. Today, he is a Motion Capture Supervisor and History Consultant at Raw Power Games.
