I’ve been fascinated with sports since I was young, but baseball, in particular, caught my attention because it allows for the impossible. Interestingly, the same can be said about the stock market. In the early 2000s, Moneyball Theory entered the baseball scene. It’s useful for cash-strapped teams because it typically identifies undervalued and overlooked players. Similar to the Moneyball Theory, we (retail investors) are the “cash-strapped teams” looking for “overlooked players” (mispriced assets). I’ve spent nearly a decade in financial analysis roles, providing me with a wealth of skills ranging from financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, investor relations, capital raising, and corporate M&A. I leveraged what I learned from being an analyst and started investing on my own.
