Welcome to The Music Theory Channel! (Previously G-sential Theory of Music) I'm Tronél Hellberg, and I love making Music Theory simple and accessible. I started this channel in 2020 during lockdown to help South African Grade 12 learners revise without their music teachers. The project was later endorsed by UNISA’s Music Foundation and the University of the Free State. Since then, I’ve added music didactics videos used in my PGCE lectures at STADIO. The channel covers theory concepts from Grades 1–6 (ABRSM, UNISA, Trinity, CAPS, IEB) and CAPS Music for Grades 10–12. Students and teachers alike will find helpful content here.
