I am a 51-year-old Filipina grandmother, entrepreneur, athlete, a social media influencer and creator. Several years ago, I was a woman struggling with my confidence, numerous health concerns and insecurities. My conviction to change and rid myself of all these, mainly my deteriorating health and discomfort was one of the wisest life-changing decisions made, albeit rather uncomfortably challenging and slow. The course of my fitness journey has catapulted me into a special calling that is primarily and passionately focused on empowering women through wellness, because I believe health is freedom. This grandma is a living proof that wellness and health can liberate and empower women of any age or status. Societal stereotyping of women, particularly mothers or grandmothers, is passe’, bygone and behind times. I refuse, reject, and object to any cultural pressure about how amateur woman should look, or any limits placed upon her ability.
