About

Mark Hudson was born in Williamson, West Virginia, and raised just across the border in Turkey Creek, Kentucky, where he spent most of his childhood. Growing up between two places that felt like one, he was surrounded by the kind of everyday life, stories, and people that would later shape the heart of his music. As a teenager, Mark moved to Columbus, Ohio, where his perspective began to shift and expand. It was there that his connection to music started to take a more serious form, influenced by both his Appalachian roots and the new experiences that came with a bigger city. In his 20s, Mark found himself drawn back south, spending time in places like Tennessee, Florida, and eventually returning to Kentucky. Those years added new layers to his perspective, different environments, different people, and a deeper understanding of the ups and downs that come with finding your place in the world. Mark’s music reflects that journey, honest, grounded storytelling shaped by where he’s been and what he’s lived through. His songs focus on real moments, emotions, and the quiet details people don’t always say out loud. Whether it’s love, loss, growth, or simply trying to make sense of where you are in life, his writing aims to connect in a way that feels genuine and relatable. Through his growing catalog, Mark Hudson continues to build a sound that blends roots and modern influence, creating music that resonates with listeners who appreciate authenticity over perfection.
