I’m Chrissy from Southern IL and I’m a food grower, flower enthusiast, and farm owner at Up the Windy Lane nestled on a hill out in the country. I’ve been on this garden and farming journey for a long time it seems. I finished my architectural studies degree but didn’t do much with it after college. I now use it to create beauty in my garden and on the farm with flowers and food! I remember gardening with my mother when I was little and canning with my grandmother. I love the memories I have of my grandmother, who has passed away, helping me can tomato juice and can blackberry jam as I started my own garden for my family I want to live an intentional life. Showing my family where our food comes from has been a blessing! I hope to inspire you to grow more food and to try new things in the garden.
