When Addie was just 1 year old, she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. I didn't know a single person with T1D nor did I know that babies could get diabetes! Through Tiktok and social media, we have met so many supportive people within the community. We have shared our experiences and what we have learned with having such a young diabetic child. With type 1 diabetes on the rise, I wanted to show other families and parents how challenging having a type 1 baby/toddler/child can be. I also wanted to share how amazing that we have found ourselves to be much more capable than we thought too. We are here to spread awareness about the unique challenges that come with having a toddler with type 1. We also want to show the world how amazing life can still be as a type 1 diabetic.
