To deny thyself small goods out of love of Christ is an act of love and penance that unites us to our Lord. Do not seek to be loved by men or to need their community, above pursuing and following the Truth. One thing have I asked of the Lord, this will I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life.
