Hello! My name is Jan Garcia. I have been on a healthy journey for most of my life. Vegan when I was 19, then on and off for many years. In 1994 a friend of ours at our church was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He refused traditional treatment and treated his cancer with diet. We were amazed! I am an R.N. and had never heard of this "out of the box" way of thinking. We watched. He and his family began to shed extra weight. Their daughter refused pizza at church functions bringing with her a peanut butter sandwich. We started to ask questions. They gave us our first nutrition book, "Fit For Life" by the Diamonds. This began my passion for learning about nutrition, disease and healing. The Lord has led our family of 6 as we homeschool, pastor, and teach others how to think "out of the box".
