Kara-Mia enjoys playing at open mic nights having performed for Redfest, the community festival of Redland City in Cleveland, the Gold Coast City Cavill Mall Gigs, Grill'd in West End, The Retro Bar in Kenmore, The Foxy Bean in East Brisbane, The Artist Tree in Cleveland, and the burgeoning music café culture of Brisbane. Performing a mixture of Folk, country and Jazz she delights audience with a witty mix of originals mixed with famous and rare songs of saucy content... Early last year, she formed a Trio called SHAPESHIFTER with her pals Connie Di Dato on Bass/Vocals/Bass Ukulele and Meg Geering on percussion/vocals and Film Making. As a solo artist, or as a band member, she performs mainly her own songs which have a Jazzy/Bluesy/Sultry feel, but they also do a few mashed up jazzy/rock standards.. She has been performing now for around 4 years at various Restaurants, Bars, Cafes and Festivals.
