resort realism is the lofi downtempo project of Birmingham, Alabama natives Crawford King (keyboards) and Robert Wason (bass). The high school friends have been playing music together for many many years, collecting vintage gear and recording at their home in Irondale, aptly named 'The Resort.' When they started exploring drum machines and thinking electronically with their sound after finding themselves without a drummer, resort realism was born. Their chilled sound and surreal self-directed music videos and artwork have gained them a global audience, earning over 125K+ streams to date on Spotify. Their debut album “resort realism” released on April 16, 2021.
