This is my personal journey with Ankylosing Spondylitis aka AS. I am currently a power lifter trying to raise awareness for this disease and compete at a high level in power lifting. I hope to also document the battles we #ASWARRIOR s fight. In doing this I am hoping to educate people that have never heard of or have no clue what AS or other autoimmune diseases are. The greatest message that I want everyone to hear is we can and should fight. Ankylosing Spondylitis like other autoimmune diseases are debilitating. They are hard for people to understand because the battle is within our bodies. Many people with these conditions often fall into depression and give up on life. Most of society believes it is in their head and not a real disease, but what they do not see is our bodies are trying to kill us from within.
