Do you love Mexican food as much as I do? Well then come with me to the far-flung corners of Mexico to find Grandmas willing to give up their most jealously guarded secret: the family recipe. Together we will learn how to make authentic Mexican recipes from scratch. Our teachers are, in my opinion, the best Chefs in the entire world- Mexican Grandmothers! Mexican culture centers around the dinner table, and many Mexican families take it as a point of pride that their Grandma can make the best food you've ever tasted. These family recipes are jealously guarded by these ladies, but thankfully a precious few of them are willing to divulge the secret techniques behind the preparation of these traditional dishes so that their deliciousness isn't lost to history. In each episode, I will convince a Mexican Grandma to share her culinary secrets. These dishes are not only delicious, but the story and ingredients behind them serve as windows into the history and culture of Mexico.
