Hi! My name is Candace! My husband and I are renovating an old Gothic style barn that sits on our property. We had a barn fire and decided to restore it into a family rec space. We have a huge project ahead of while operating with a VERY tight budget. I had no building experience before this project. My husband is teaching me along the way. You will not see him because he prefers to stay away from the camera. This is a story of perseverance, determination, and being willing to jump in with both feet. I’m learning as I go and make mistakes. I try to stay focused on the dream and end result by tackling each phase one step at a time. My other passion is healthier recipes that are GF and processed sugar free (I use honey and maple syrup). My family must be GF and I realized that I feel better when I don’t eat sugar. It has become my passion to create and share my favorite recipes with others. I love my sweets and don’t want to give them up and you don’t have too either.
