I'm a mama of two that loves to write about Guam food recipes, bake sweet treats, share her CHamoru cooking dishes, and grow Guam garden vegetables. The Chamorros are natives of the Mariana Islands and Chamorro food is a delicious melting pot of tropical island goodies of the Marianas, Spain, Latin America, the Philippines, Korea, Japan, and a sprinkling of Americana. Such dishes include various lemon-coconutty salads or kelaguens, dessert rice dishes like chocolatty champulado and sweet coconut toddy poto or rice cakes, stir fry noodles like pancit, cookies such as the coconut-milk-rich guyuria, and red rice with North Carolina smoked barbecue.
