WBNX-TV55 signed on the air on December 1, 1985, as Independent. In 1997 The WB Network was acquired, bringing many hit TV shows, such as 7th Heaven, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Smallville, and Gilmore Girls. In 2006 The merger of the WB and the UPN networks created The CW Network comprised of CBS and Warner Bros. This affiliation brought such hits as America's Next Top Model, The Vampire Diaries, 90210, Gossip Girl, and our most current fan favorite, Arrow. In July of 2018, WBNX-TV transitioned back to an Independent station.
