The Spoken Tutorials on correct techniques of breastfeeding and complementary feeding for the first 1000 days of life will empower millions of people with the knowledge of life-saving skills. Through this series the Spoken Tutorial project at IIT Bombay aims to reach out to scores of people for spreading awareness on malnutrition and reduce infant mortality drastically in India and globally as well. The tutorials will help not only the urban parents but also the not-so educated rural mothers, tribal health workers, anganwadi workers, ANMs and ASHAs to easily understand and grasp the most important practical details of breastfeeding and complementary feeding. The entire series is created using graphics, animation with simultaneous narration in simple words to help illustrate the respective topics with maximum clarity. These videos are translated and dubbed in 22 officially recognized Indian languages to cover the entire Indian landscape.
